Welcome to the world of Helen Sanders’s novels, but be forewarned that you’re about to enter into the twisted minds of killers. Prepare to hold on tight as you are taken on roller coaster rides as seen through the eyes of demonic killers who will stop at nothing to achieve their goals.
The idea for her first novel, entitled Vengeance Is Mine, was born when Sanders attended a murder trial during her freshman year in college. The trial left such an impression on her that she asked herself three questions—“What if that murder had taken place on the campus of MSCW? What if it had been the first in a series of brutal attacks on the members of my social club? What was the killer’s motive for the murders? Years later those questions were finally answered when she wrote the novel.
Sanders’s second novel, which she has recently finished, is tentatively entitled Obsessive Revenge. The action takes place a year after the first novel and delves into the question of inherited mental problems. The antagonist is the biological son of the killer in Vengeance Is Mine and he feels destined to continue the killing rampage begun by his father.
